Designing a Photography Interpretation Center for SFMOMA
Early Explorations
Adobe XD is exploring a partnership with the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA) to create a Photography Interpretation Center in their new space opening in 2016. These photos highlight some early explorations around the art of photography. The goals for the space are as follows:
- Build a smart museum. Create a seamless blend of analog experiences, onsite digital technology, and mobile content.
- Get personal with our visitors. Offer customized experiences and content based on visitors’ previous activities or interests.
- Stage a conversation that could only happen here. Engage community voices that resonate with our visitors’ diverse lives and interests, as well as the distinctive culture of the Bay Area.
- Ask as many questions as we answer. Openly embrace the idea that both making and viewing contemporary art are imaginative, open - ended journeys. There is no right way to look at art.
The team who created this body of work and are making this project a reality include: Erik Natzke, Sam Wick, Sonja Hernandez, Will Ruby, Phil Lu, Patrick Reynolds, Sean Voisen, Lisa Pedee, Kim Kerry-Tyerman, and myself.
SFMOMA re-opening in in Spring of 2016.
