deYoungsters Fundraising Event

When you hear the term “Art Party” you automatically think of bright colors and paint brushes. When you hear that Adobe is sponsoring an art party, you know something innovative and fun is going to take place. Earlier in January, Adobe participated in the deYoungsters Family Art Party as a lead sponsor for the event. The Fine Arts Museum of San Francisco hosted the deYoungsters fundraising event held in conjunction with Keith Haring’s Political Line exhibit.

XD was able to lead two stations for the deYoungsters event, showcasing several Adobe’s apps along with our Context screens and Paint Table.  The first creativity station was geared towards younger children; they were able to design their own sticker using personalized brushes of themselves using Brush and Sketch.  Once their creations were uploaded to the Creative Cloud, the children were able to view and thumb through their images via the Context screens.

The second creativity station was geared towards teens, enabling them to express themselves creatively with their silhouette using Shape and Sketch. All the while sitting in a black light lounge and listening to a silent disco.

The goal of the deYoungsters event is to encourage family friendly initiatives at the museum. Being able to participate in an event that introduced children to technology in a way that allowed them to create and have fun was an amazing experience. XD’s participation in the art party was a success, with 900 people in attendance; over 450 children and over 100 teens were able to create using Adobe apps. Overall Adobe had the opportunity to showcase our technology and encourage digital story telling while fostering children’s creativity.
